Patolang Baduy: The Survivors!

Holyweek 2011 is a blast! ♥ My friends and I went to Candelaria, Zambales and spent Good friday, Black Saturday and Easter Sunday at this beautiful Island -- Potipot Island.

April 22, 2011. At around 8:30 in the morning,we had an approximately 6-hour bus ride from Caloocan to Candelaria, Zambales. It is not a boring ride since I'm with my ever energetic friends. At around 2:00 in the afternoon we arrived at Beach House ni Dok, unpacked our things, ate our lunch which my Mom prepared (hotdog, maling, rice, de lata and singkamas). Kuya Karl (ang anak ni Dok na kumukuha din ng Medicine) is very accommodating. Sorry Dok. Extra towel to extra pillows; missing remote control for the television to poor audio; and the siraing glass door nila. But other than that, we're as if in a paradise.

We woke up the next day na hapung-hapo sa pagod. We planned to wake up at 5am in the morning pero 7am na kami bumangon lahat. Tss! We ate our breakfast, sipped coffee, changed our clothes and put tune-tuneladang sunblock, though hindi naman naging effective sa amin dahil na din matindi ang among pagbibilad. Thanks to Mitchy and Tetoy though!

  • Thanks to Mitchy's heater. Brilliant, isn't it?

Five to 10-minute boat ride from Beach House ni Dok to the beautiful Island of Potipot. A paradise, indeed! Sulit ang pagod sa paraisong ito, and I'm willing to spend another day sa piling ng islang ito. Syempre, hindi muna kami lumublob sa tubig, we spend an hour to tour the island.

And yes! May baon kami. :) But we forgot to bring pansapin and other utensils. Solusyon? aAba! Boooooo! And dahil hindi kami nakinig kay Tetoy to bring water, ayan pilit namin pinagkasya ang dalawang bote ng tubig na halata namang 'di kasya sa aming lima. Loooser! Desperate move: 3 seconds lang kapag iinom. But guess what? We survived! :)

Nagre-reflect! :) Habang naka-long sleeves. But after several hours, lahat na kami nagtatampisaw sa dagat habang ginagaya ang teleseryang Mutya of ABS-CBN.

Maybe Isla Potipot is not the most beautiful island in the Philippines but I assure you, tanggal ang lahat ng pagod once you see this creation of God. Hooray!

And for finale, this is our Holyweek Getaway video made by Mitchy. :)
